Level: 300
Track: IT Pro
SharePoint Server includes several content recovery options for SharePoint administrators, site collection administrators, and end users. Educating your users, and site collections and lighten the burden on your SharePoint farm administrators. Using Central Administration or PowerShell you can backup and restore your entire farm or components of your farm. SharePoint also provides the option of recovering site collections, sites, list and libraries from content databases that are no longer part of the SharePoint farm. With a vast majority of your SharePoint content stored in SQL Server it is imperative that you have an efficient way to recover items or entire databases as quickly as possible. Modern SharePoint Site Provisioning with Site Designs, PnP-Powershell and Flow
Level: 200
Track: Developer
A common business requirement in SharePoint is to use team sites to collaborate on a repeatable unit of work. For example, to create a customized, yet repeatable team site for each new project.

Previously, the most common solution for this was classic "site templates", which are easy to use but have numerous limitations. However, this use of classic "site templates" is now frowned upon in favor of modern techniques leveraging Site Designs, Provisioning Templates, PnP-Powershell, Microsoft Flow and Azure Automation.

This session shall cover:
• Comparison between site designs and provisioning templates
• How to create and deploy site designs
• How to create and apply provisioning templates with PnP Powershell
• How to build a self-service site provisioning solution that combines robust governance with a high level of automation, using Microsoft Flow and Azure Automation
