Leveraging Microsoft Flow and PowerApps in (any) library or corporate setting
Level: 200
Track: Business / Management, Power User, End User
Presenting the findings with demonstrations & useful typesfrom a case paper on Flow and PowerApps that was initially presented at the Special Librarians Association in June 2018.

This paper demonstrated how the Microsoft apps, Flow and PowerApps can be used in any library setting (corporate, public, hospital, school or non-profit). Each of the apps independently can be used in any setting yet combined can optimize efficiency for any process. Many of the techniques used can also be applied any setting, not just libraries.
Both Flow and PowerApps were introduced for public preview in the Spring of 2016 . Since then, the features for both apps have grown and evolved. Essentially, any process has the capability of being transformed with Microsoft Flow. Subsequently, Microsoft PowerApps can package these transformations into custom applications for better accessibility.
Some examples (yet not limited to) are:
An approval workflow (expense, time-off, etc)
Scheduling requests (requests for an appointment, meeting, etc)
Capturing results from social media and sending them to Excel for review later
Monitor news and package a daily digest with a push notification
Be alerted when a key user sends an email for immediate attention

Office 365 One to Many Sharing through Azure
Level: 300
Track: Business / Management, Developer, IT Pro
Sometimes you need to publish content to a broad external user audience. They don't need to collaborate, they just need to be able to easily consume that content. This could be your public website, or a private site you want to share securely with a particular audience.
In this session, we'll take you through both public and private scenarios where you want to share your Office 365 content externally. While out of the box in Office 365 you can anonymously share individual documents, there is no way to share a whole site anonymously. We'll show you how we leverage Azure websites to do this very cost effectively.
Our main scenario is one of our clients, OntarioMD (www.ontariomd.ca). Their new public website is authored in Office 365, and then the approval and publishing process pushes that to Microsoft Azure. Hosted in Azure’s massively scalable infrastructure for a very reasonable cost, this provides a secure, highly available website. We then extend that and allow registered users to access additional private information through the same site, and supporting apps.
In another example, Wilfrid Laurier University (https://wlu.ca) uses the same approach to publish supporting material for faculty publications and other reasons from Office 365 to their public website.

•    When to use it and when not to
•    Sync capabilities and restrictions
•    Overall limits, guidance, and best practices
•    Security capabilities from the user to the tenant
•    Reporting
•    What’s new for administration

Sick of staring at static spreadsheets and wishing that there was a way to visualize things so that the data could speak for itself?
