Session - Enterprise Social: Where are we now and where are we going?

Level: 100
Track: End-User, Business
Microsoft double downed in the Enterprise Social business since the acquisition of Yammer in the summer of 2012. The acquisition was necessary due to the lacking Enterprise Social features within SharePoint and the rise of Social media. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn were adopted by millions of people and businesses became eager to implement the Social media features within their own enterprise. A lot has changed since that summer of 2012 and Yammer isn't the only Enterprise Social service for SharePoint and Office 365. During this presentation Jasper Oosterveld (Office 365 MVP) is going to explain the current state of Enterprise Social within SharePoint and Office 365. We are going to look at the latest Enterprise Social services such as Yammer, Office 365 Groups, Delve and the Video Portal.

The presentation covers the following topics:

The journey of Yammer from 2012 until present day
New wave of Enterprise Social features
     Roadmap for Enterprise Social

The key take away points are:

Gain insight in the current state of Enterprise Social for SharePoint and Office 365
Learn about the future Enterprise Social developments for businesses worldwide
