Expand your platform with Azure App Service
Level: 200
Track: Developer
The small and mid-size companies that want to expand their solutions and infrastructure usually utilize the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) concept as they find it easy, controllable and expandable. While that approach is great, there is simpler, specialized Azure App Service that enables you to host web apps, mobile apps, and API apps without configuring virtual machine and all supporting networking infrastructure. This topic will enable the audience to get a overview of the Azure App Service, select a plan and deployment methods (Visual Studio, FTP clients, Azure PS) and even configure Web Apps and use Azure WebJobs feature to schedule tasks. As an bonus, we well cover the Azure Traffic Manager to distribute requests between two or more app services.

Office 365 Groups Governance
Level: 300
Track: IT Pro, Developer
Office 365 Groups Governance
Office 365 Groups is one of the best ways to drive adoption of your Office 365 environment. Groups provide a single identity for teams across the different applications in Office 365, however, like any solution, you’re not going to be successful unless you understand how Groups work, how to manage them and how to implement and govern their use.
This session provides Office 365 Groups governance advice and shows in a real-life scenario how your organization can start with self-service while protecting corporate assets. We see how Azure Functions and Microsoft Flow can help in integration of an approval workflow for Groups creation and let you learn the magic behind Microsoft Graph.

Please, no more SharePoint Designer flows… use SharePoint WebHooks and Azure Functions
Level: 300
Track: IT Pro, Developer
Since the begin of SharePoint Server, SharePoint Designer was the tool to create small Work Flows in an easy and speedy way. But the times are changed, and, although SharePoint Designer can still be used with SharePoint Office 365, it is not more the right tool to use and it is time to move on.
SharePoint 365 offers since short time ago the possibility to implement WebHooks to "capture" events in Lists and Libraries. This gives us the opportunity to use extendible and expandable software, as Azure Functions, to create new functionality in SharePoint and solve enterprise situations in a fast and simple way, replacing SharePoint Designer with more suitable and modern tools.
In this session, we will see what are WebHooks, how they work in SharePoint 365 and how to use them in combination with Azure Functions. Not only we will explore the possibilities of the combination of SharePoint and Azure, but at the hand of several examples, we will see how it works.

Serverless para Office 365
Level: 200
Track: IT Pro, Developer

Azure Functions technology appears to be a perfect way to implement a serverless backend for SharePoint Online. In this session, I'll show several very effective techniques for using Azure Functions with SharePoint:

1. Accessing MS Graph from Azure Functions without ADAL or MSAL
2. Using async-await in Azure Functions
3. Using JSOM in Azure Functions
4. Packing Azure Functions - why and how you can do it without azure-function-pack
